Nala's dial was lowered as she entered the den, her orbs clouded and her auds lowered. She smiled at Sansa, and then at Remora. Her pads seemed sluggish and her bodice seem to shiver. Yes, she had figured out what she needed to, but no, she couldn't stop the horrible thing that was to come. Mistpelt...the nightmare...the understanding...it was too much.
She sighed heavily, her tail drooping. After I eat, when everyone is relaxed. She told herself, pushing her thoughts to the back of Nala's active mind. She reached overmeat was pas and licked Sansa warmly. As the meat was passed to her, Nala felt her maw begin to water - not drool - Nala never seemed to want to drool. She sank her ivories into the red carcass, savoring the delicious bites.
After everyone finished, she cleared her throat and got ready to announce the news she had learned today.
There is to be a great trouble that will come upon all of Silver Valley. The humans have poisoned the water. The murky rivers flow into the sea to the south and west, making the clouds darken in those parts. When they are blow here, they rain this poison on to us, tainting all the water we survive on. The clouds from the north and east are white, and drink water only from fine sources. We can only drink rainwater from these clouds as it falls. Nala waited, needing the reaction from the two brutes.
If God had really intended men to fly, he'd have made it easier to get to the airport.

Remora's eyes widened unbelieveingly, but then he dropped his head, suddenly and noiselessly. "This is... unexpected. What will we do?" His lithe form tensed. He was anxios. He was relieved. At least now he knew what had been troubling his Queen. She seemed releived, too. Oh, fox-dung. What was he going to do? SHe was Queen. He was Deputy. They had a King. He had to let her know sometime, but he'd rather not in front of their King, Snasa. He sniffed beliligrently.

Stupid! Selfish! He shouldn't have been so selfish. What were they going to do about telling the Pack? He needed to start concentrating on his duties instead of Nala's evory maw, her sparkling brown eyes. Stop! Pay attention! He straightened. And waited. For the time to let Nala know his true feelings. If she didn't already suspect something, that is.
Well baby I surrender to the strawberry-ice-cream never ever ever endin love! Well I didn't mean to do it, there's no escapin this love.

Sansa blinked in complete and total shock, his gold eyes taking on a look of terror "what.. that.. that that.. mrupgh" Sansa's brain seamed to shut down at this new and creepy development. Sansa's speech center seamed to be blocked by a black dot. "this.. is very bad"
i have a saying " before you critizie someone, walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you do critizie them, you are a mile away and you have thier shoes..." MMMMM SHOES! * chews on shoes*

Nala nodded thoughtfully. This seemed to be controllable if the kept the water in a safe place. Nala lowered her dial and layed it on her paws. Her leg felt much better. The fae sighed in relief. The winter was harsh. Did they really need this too? The chilling cold, this 'posioned water', and prey.
An alarmed look crossed her face. She panicked. PREY! The prey they hunted were too stupid to know! They would drink the water, and die. Even if they didn't their blood would be tainted. Nala jumped up. She needed to announce this to the pack...now

How much longer will it take to cure This? Just to cure it cause I can't ignore it its this love
At the moment Nala leapt to her feet, Remora had a thought. The prey. What were they to eat? The prey would drink it, and be posioned... and if they were caught before they died, they'd kill us anyway... this was worse than he'd thought.
Makes me wanna turn around and face me, don't know nothing bout love.
There had to be a soloution.. there had to be. Well... maybe Nala had one. Maybe that was why she was up, as if to call another pack meeting. No, no NO! He wasn't going to leave it to Nala (Or Sansa for that matter) to think about what to do. He had to at least help. And then, he had the smallest spark of an idea.
Come on, come on, turn a little faster, come on come on, the world will Follow after.
" Wait, Nala. What about the prey? They'll drink the water and be poisioned, poison us, too... I have an idea, but its not brilliant... we need to find out exactly where this tainted water starts. And where it ends. Then, we stop hunting there. We hunt on the other side of the forest while others can make sort of a dam and stop the tainted water from flowing over as much. Not out of twigs, that wouldn't help. Out of mud, and stones." Oh, great. It was the stupidest idea ever.

Nala nodded. Masq had the same thought that she did. Her pools were darkened with worry. Her tail drooped and her auds didn't move. She sat down, having the urge to answer the question. The cool breeze didn't feel refreshing anymore. It felt like another danger. The snow itself seemed tainted. Her pools saw things. The snow as purple as it blew on the opening of the den.
Hmm. Masq, I think the clouds rain on all of the valley. I think we need to find a differnt way to do it. Wait- your idea about the dam might work! We could block the prey's water off. Not only would it keep the water from getting inside them, but it will aslo kill it for us...
Nala's dial was bright, her features now perked and ready for action-her usual posture.

Wait. She thought his idea was a good idea? He had only spoken to fill in the silence... but as she thought about it, the more it dawned on him. It was a good idea. A really good idea. The snow blew in slightly and blurred his vision. He blinked, shook his head and raised his brown orbs. "Really? You think it would work? Sansa, what do you think?"
But now that I do I'd like to Get to Know you.
As he truned his bodice to a respectful poise startioned in the direction of Sansa, he felt a strong feeling radiating from his King. Not the normal possesion, or even leadership, damand for respect. No, the felling he was getting from Sansa was a feeling not unlike the one he felt when Nala was near. When her soft brown orbs watched him searchingly... was he tresspassing? Tresspassing on what Sansa felt was his territory? That would be bad. He couldn't be with Nala in the first place, but if Sansa was competition, he would guess that he'd never have a chance to let Nala know how he felt. He'd be dead meat it he put one paw out of line. Sans lowered his head, he looked tired, not fearful but tired. " It is worth a shot, its better than any other plan, but in case this fails we will need to make other plans." Sansa let out a sigh, if anyone had been looking closely you would have seen a tear leave his eye. " im... going for a walk.. would... would you join me ramora?" Sansa was not in his usual mood, he was asking ramora as if he were not the deputy but his equal.

The colored fae stepped aside, her pools glowing with a fire. She nodded at Sansa, her tail not in its usual place, up, but not wagging. She closed her eyes and sighed, her maw still holding her well-known smile. This whole thing was too much. She needed some more time by herself. Everyone needed more time. Our lives are flying by too quickly. 40 seasons from now, I may be hunting ror Spirit Pack. Or I could likve for another 55 or 60 seasons. But I also could pass away at the coming of this sickness. But I was a fighter. Spirit Pack wouldn't let that happen unless they couldn't do a thing about it. It was the same with all of them...except for the one that has a destined fate. The one that will fall...

Remora, too shocked to reply, nodded. His eyes lost their lusterious sparkle, and his long tail dropped slightly. As he left the den, he nodded once, respectfully, at Nala, and waited. This day had whizzed past faster than a plain hare. If must be nearly sunrise by now... or maybe it was still the middle of the day. The snow was so blinding that until in the forest, not much could be seen. What would Sansa say? Had he noticed anything. Oh. Oh, oh, oh, no. That would be horrible... Remora groaned in his head.
That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue, to turn and run, when all I needed was the truth...

Sansa walked slowly, waiting till he thought he was out of earshot before turning to Ramora. "Something is on your mind... i can tell" Sansa continued to look at his deputy calmly " Please tell me what it is... please don't hold anything back, ill know if you do." Sansa sat giving Ramora tired smile.

Remora took a deep breath, refusing to make eye contact for a moment. His eyes glazed in anxiety, he cleared his throat to buy time. What could he say? How was he going to say it at all? He sat, facing Sansa, and nervously began to speak.
"Do you mean like... like besides the fact that this water poisoning could decimate the Packs?"
Once again, he was buying time. Stalling. He knew the answer to this question. He had a faint idea that Sansa knew that he did, too. He was bending over backwards to make this more comfortable.
Then it hit him. It wasn't going to be comfortable, no matter how he said it. It had to be said, otherwise Sansa would pry it out of him. He would not be seen as disloyal. He sat taller and added,
1. No Advertising in the Cbox!
2. Do NOT draw attention to your site. You can have a link in your name, but that's about it unless you have talked to me or Lucifer first.
3. Be respectful. Don't put anyone down and dont be plain rude.
4. Breaking of these rules will result in a ban from the Cbox, a Warning on your Profile, or possibly a suspension from the site.
